About Me by Tanya
My passion for the off the beaten path experiences started at a young age. Born and raised in the heart of Zululand, I had the privilege to enjoy the adventure side of life and to appreciate the unique experiences of each journey that crossed my path.
I instantly fell in love with the idea of unique travel experiences and always knew I wanted to share these experiences with those who would like to explore the hidden gems of the world.

A couple of years later the excitement of the aviation industry caught my attention. I started my career in 2004 landing my dream job as a cabin crew member and served the aviation industry for the next 7 years. I travelled more air-miles than most jet setters combined and listened to endless travel stories shared by passengers I met onboard. As the saying on the jump-seat goes, I reached my air-hostess expiry date and decided to explore my ambitious side and joined Flight Centre as a retail consultant in 2011, affording me the opportunity to travel to intriguing destinations, just to add to the infusion of more travel delights. Heading up as a branch manager I enjoyed the corporate and business side of the travel industry.

In 2016 I decided to leave the city lights behind to start a new chapter in picturesque Western Cape countryside and soon found myself exploring the off the beaten path experiences my new surroundings have to offer. Hiking and cycling some of the most beautiful parts of the world, enjoying wine tasting on wine hopper tours, zip-lining in the valley or simply enjoying a delicious meal and warm company of locals are what travel is all about. It’s been 16 years of travel experiences and it feels as if my journey only started!
